Hello,
In the sharepoint site from the main report when i go to my drill down report i see no back button, Is there a way to provide back button in the toolbar. I dont want to use the page back button. or is there any way by which if i click for my drill down report the report will be opened in a new window?
Thanks & Regds,
I don't quite remember doing this .. but i was trying to use the
<a href=" javascript:history.back()" >back</a>
tag in reporting services to create a hyperlink which goes one page back in the page history. That effectively will take you to the previous main report.
Alternative is, use a text box in the drill down report, and in the navigation tab of the text box, choose the main report again. The CONS of this is that the main report is generated rather than just going back to the previous page, additionally if the user had changed the parameters of the main report before drilling down, this would not work, as it would open the report with the default set parameters. You can pass all the params of the main report to the drill down report (whether they are being used there or not) and then pass it back.
This does not seem to be the best solution, as i can see it. I remember doing something of this sort long back in BETA of SQL Server. I shall see if i can come up with an alternate way of doing this.
